You can spend a whole day getting lost in the lush landscape of Los Angeles. From hiking trails to city parks and botanical gardens, the area offers many options for those seeking to see a glimpse of green. Bring your hiking shoes or grab a chair and blanket as we’re featuring our favorite green spaces to explore the outdoors. We know we will be there when The James West Hollywood – Sunset opens early next year.

Parks Route Walking Path, begins at 647 N. San Vicente Blvd.
This 2.5 mile-long walking path runs between West Hollywood Park and Plummer Park and makes it easy to get your 10,000 steps in each day. Signs on bus benches and posts guide your way and you can see popular sights on the path such as the Veterans Memorial, Pacific Design Center and the Matthew Shepard Memorial.  

Griffith Park, 4730 Crystal Springs Drive
One of the largest parks in North America, Griffith Park is home to such notable institutions including the Greek Theatre, the Griffith Observatory and the LA Equestrian Center, to name a few. With over 4,210 acres of land and situated in the eastern Santa Monica Mountain range, visitors can enjoy a wide range of activities like camping, hiking, swimming and tennis in this massive green space.

Plummer Park, 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard
Currently undergoing a major renovation, Plummer Park is one of the most popular parks in Los Angeles. Home to such local favorites as the Plummer Park Community Center, Helen Albert Farmer’s Market and a dog play area, Plummer Park is a neighborhood tradition that will soon be expanded to include even more green space for locals and visitors to enjoy.
