The James Royal Palm Cultural Collection
In light of Miami’s reputation as a burgeoning cultural hotbed, The James Royal Palm has brought together four marquee partners to create a first-ever, curated Cultural Collection. Each of these local partners – New World Symphony, YoungArts, Miami's Independent Thinkers and Public School – were initially hand-picked by The James Royal Palm because of their individual commitments to the local community and to promoting emerging art. The Cultural Collection first debuted in 2012 in celebration of the hotel's opening, creating a home for artists of differentiating mediums including art, design, music, dance, theatre and more. Through these partnerships, guests and locals have access to exclusive and unique experiences including private performances, monthly exhibihit installations and the opportunity to mix and mingle with some of Miami's most influential and emerging artists.
Guests can currently enjoy a temporary digital installation in James Club by local artist Claudio Castillo. Castillo's generative art display, “Underworks,” is non-repeating and self-generating imagery that is controlled by the moon and tide.
