Near East Hampton lies the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center where the work of famed abstract expressionist artist Jackson Pollock comes to life. After Pollock married fellow artist Lee Krasner, they moved to this small home overlooking the Accabonac Creek. At the House and Study Center, viewers can take a tour of where the artist created his masterpieces and can even experience an art exhibit you can walk on. Spending time in the Hamptons also means spending as much time as you can outdoors. Luckily, some of the best shopping can be found at the local farmers’ markets. Scattered throughout all parts of the city, our favorites include the Southampton Farmer’s Market (held at the Southampton Art Center), the Round Swamp Farm (located in both Bridgehampton and Southampton), and Nurel’s Farmers’ Market (held in Hampton Bays). All the markets include organic produce as well as bakery items and even select wines and spirits.
