The countdown is ON. Check back here often for the live countdown to when we open our doors for the 'Preview' phase at The James New York – NoMad, formerly the Carlton Hotel. Opening in NYC’s most vibrant neighborhood and bringing a new and fresh experience to NoMad, our newest hotel is ideally situated on the corner of 29th street and Madison Avenue. The 344-room luxury boutique will be infused with local culture and liberated touches inspired by the community it will call home. Drawing inspiration from the surrounding neighborhood, the guestrooms and public spaces will be modern, yet classic in design.

- The James New York – NoMad, formerly the Carlton Hotel, was originally dubbed The Seville Hotel in 1904. The building is in the National Register of Historic Places. The James was designed staying true to the building’s iconic and historic stature through it’s architecture and design details.
- The new James New York – NoMad was designed by NYC architecture and design superstar, Thomas Juul-Hansen, who drew inspiration from the history of the existing building.
