Day 1: Arrive and Unwind

Upon arrival at the James NoMad, immerse yourself in understated elegance. The hotel is located within a Beaux-Arts-style building, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places in the United States. Within this beautiful façade, a thoroughly modern hotel experience awaits. The hotel’s sleek design and warm hospitality immediately set the tone for a rejuvenating stay. Check in to your thoughtfully appointed suite, which boasts beautiful views and all the comforts you’ll need during your stay: robes and slippers, a fully stocked pantry, in-room Four Bodies Wellness, and a spa-inspired bathroom with marble vanity.

After settling in and freshening up, take a leisurely stroll around the Flatiron district to Madison Square Park, just a 5-minute walk away, where the winter air is crisp and invigorating. The park’s art installations and green spaces offer a serene retreat from the urban hustle and bustle. The Flatiron district is the perfect introduction to everything New York City has to offer, from shopping and restaurants to museums and hidden gems

In the evening, visit Scarpetta, James NoMad’s signature Italian restaurant. At Scarpetta, you’ll find sophisticated Italian dishes cooked with Chef Jorge Espinoza’s elevated simplicity. Indulge in the modern interpretation of spaghetti tomato and basil, delicate Yellowtail Crudo, traditional Creamy Polenta, and more, all complemented by an extensive wine selection.

Day 2: Cultural Exploration

After a delicious dinner and a restful night’s sleep, wake up refreshed and ready to embark on a cultural exploration of New York City’s vibrant and ever-changing art scene. An excellent place to begin your cultural journey is the Museum of Modern Art, also known to locals as MoMA. But first, stop by our beloved Bourke Street Bakery for a specialty coffee and sourdough baked good before setting off. Take a short trip on the subway, and in less than 20 minutes, you’ll be absorbing an unparalleled collection of contemporary and classical art. Marvel at iconic masterpieces and thought-provoking exhibits. If you’re looking for a longer visit to a museum, we recommend heading out to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, located in Central Park. You can spend the better part of a day exploring its hallways full of art from every corner of the world. Afterwards, explore Central Park and enjoy the winter wonderland it becomes during the colder months.

For lunch, consider venturing to Eataly, a gastronomic paradise offering authentic and contemporary Italian Fare. From fresh pasta to artisanal charcuterie board, enjoy the flavors of Italy within the bustling marketplace, and pick up a few souvenirs to bring home.

Before calling it a night, head over to our very own speakeasy in the lower level of the James NoMad. The Seville is the ideal spot to enjoy a couple of expertly crafted cocktails amongst locals who frequent this bar to mingle, dance, and enjoy the New York City nightlife. The Seville is a tribute to the original Beaux-Arts ‘Hotel Seville’ that originally occupied the James NoMad space.

Day 3: Exploring Iconic Landmarks

A day of discovery and exploration will follow another night of restful sleep in your comfortable bed. Begin the day with a hearty brunch at Scarpetta, or venture out to one of the other excellent nearby artisanal cafes to taste New York’s culinary delights.

On your third day in New York City, immerse yourself in the iconic landmarks that have made this place such an iconic destination. The Empire State Building is a short 10-minute walk from the James NoMad. From the Empire State Building observation deck, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the sprawling cityscape below from the Empire State Building observation deck.

Afterwards, consider a stroll along a slightly lower height — the iconic High Line! It’s hard to believe this elevated greenway was once an abandoned rail line of the New York Central Railroad. Today, a stroll through this linear park will take you all the way from the Meatpacking District to 34th St. on the West Side of Manhattan. Along the route, you’ll find fantastic city views, artwork, and an array of temporary installations and performances. Throughout the winter months and beyond, be sure to check out Old Tree by Pamela Rosenkranz, currently on display on the High Line at the Spur, at 30th St. and 10th Avenue. This bright-red-and-pink sculpture asks questions about the connection between the authentic and the artificial, and is a work you won’t want to miss.
